Victory Brewing Announces Successful Parkesburg Brew Test

“Parkesburg Rising: First Test Brew”

That’s the title of Victory Brewing’s blog post earlier this week detailing the company’s West Sadsbury’s new brewery’s first batch of beer!

Isn’t it great to hear such great news about Parkesburg.  What with the new field and grandstand at the high school, Lancaster General’s new Route 10 health center and the new Point center opening next Sunday night, 2013 has been a great year for Parkesburg.

By way of an update, here’s what’s happening west of town:

  • All utilities are running and the mill is now fully commissioned.
  • Each of the grain silos, which are now ready to receive container shipments, are capable of storing four times the amount of grain as the company’s silos in Downingtown.
  • Using 3 1/2 tons of grain and 150 kilos of hops, brewmasters tested the brewhouse over the weekend with good result.
  • Assuming progress continues at its current pace, and systems continue to function as expected, Victory’s management is targeting mid-December to move their Downingtown bottling line to their new Parkesburg facility.

Victory is excited to share this experience with local residents and the company’s fans.  Though we still don have an exact timeframe, the company is in the process of planning a grand Grand Opening celebration.
