The Point’s Open Door Open House

by Adam Straubel, Director of Development at Parkesburg Point Youth Center

Parkesburg Point will be hosting an open house for churches on Monday, February 6th from 6:00pm – 7:15pm. in the Point’s facility at 356 Main Street, Parkesburg PA.   Anyone interested in learning more about the Point is encouraged to attend.

The Point’s mission is to assist the local churches by providing a safe haven that offers the hope of the Gospel by addressing the spiritual, physical, emotional, and academic needs of the community.  With an indoor skate park, basketball court, cafe, computer lab, and recreational space, the Point offers free after school recreation, discipleship, and mentorship to between 50 – 100 local youth and families every evening.

The Point will be sharing its Adopt-a-Night program for local churches, where a church commits to providing a meal and a message once a month to the youth and young adults that are attending the Point.  Ideally, every evening at the Point would be adopted by a local church.

The Point invites all reading this blog to attend the open house, visit the Point’s website at, and get involved as a donor and volunteer.
