The annual banquet will offer appetizers, dinner and dessert, a cash bar, silent auction and a 50/50 drawing will be held but the big highlights of the affair will be the awarding of scholarships in the name of PABA to deserving, college-bound students.  From Octorara High School ; Cheyenne Tucker who is heading to West Chester University and Parkesburg Point graduate Michael Turner who is attending Bloomsburg University.

These two scholars, along with the awarding of this year’s PABA Business Leader of the Year Award will be moments worth remembering.  Past winners of the award have been Wilde’s Funeral Home, the Tree Doctors, LC Auto Body, Polk’s Flowers, Milshar Properties and Mack Services.

Nominees this year included perennial favorite Longenecker’s Pharmacy and newcomers Allen Fellman/AKG Printing and Seawell’s Market.

The winner of this year’s PABA Business Leader of the Year is one of the newest, most popular businesses in town; Seawell’s Market, on 1st Avenue.

PABA is hoping many people accept the invitation to attend the banquet and show their support to these students and to Carol and Al Seawell, who has worked tirelessly to provide popular groceries, delicious meals and groceries at a reasonable price along with a comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. Carol can be counted on to do whatever she can to make a good impression as a devoted community leader.  If you haven’t stopped in to Seawell’s for one of their famous breakfasts or sandwiches you are in for a treat.  See you there!

PABA hopes many Parkesburg area residents and business owners will help recognize her efforts and commitment to making Parkesburg a better place by attending this fun event and showing their support.
