Parkesburg Borough Council To See Fresh Faces – Primary Election ’17

By Jack Mariano

Parkesburg Today

It looks as though there will be some fresh faces at future Borough Council meetings.  Newcomers Tony Rife and Todd Brade should bring a new perspective and possibly some changes to the Borough landscape.  Scot Kreger who has served the Borough with his skills as Emergency Operations Coordinator has some first hand experience in the operations in borough government and brings those experiences onto the front stage.  The lone returning council member will be Mark Agen, who tracks the Borough’s finances with a sharp pencil point.  Kreger led all candidates as shown below:

Scot Kreger   102

Tony Rife 97

Todd Brade 96

**Mark Agen 95

**Kathy Rick 78

**Joseph Dynesko 70

**Willard Marsh 69

There were 14 write in votes cast.

** designate incumbent council members

Mayoral Race

Will officially be decided when all of the write – in votes (94 cast)

are tallied during the week of May 22.

The results of the write-in count could possibly create an interesting November contest between current Mayor John Hagan< Democrat, former council member  Melinda Keen, Republican along with the possibility of a third candidate from the Parkesburg Business Association, Ty Williams.
