This wonderful Christmas message comes courtesy of Keith Buohl’s Facebook timeline. Keith grew up in Parkesburg and now lives in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
This might be a little long just a warning. Anyone who knows me or sees my posts realizes today is one of my favorite days of the year evahhhh!
I will once again find it hard to fall to sleep tonight and will be up really early making noise trying to wake the girls up.
I unashamedly tell anyone and everyone that I still believe in Santa Claus and it is the truth I do still believe!
What I realize is that Santa Claus is really HOPE and that is what I believe in and will always believe in. While my definition of the word hope has changed over the years I still feel it each Christmas Eve as I wait for Santa to get here.
A wonderful feeling of hope that although the world is not a perfect place that I will recognize how blessed I each and every day and be thankful for those blessings.
So no matter what faith you are, whether you celebrate or not, whether you believe or not tonight my Christmas wish is that tomorrow you wake up with hope!! and that this feeling of hope brings you peace and happiness throughout the year and allows you to deal with whatever life throws at you.
I have also been blessed over the years to have found the true meaning of Christmas as Linus told me each year. “You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger.
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly hosts, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
