Check out the sixth annual three-day Plantation Field International Horse Trials and Country Fair, at 387 Green Valley Road, in Unionville, with a Downtown Abbey theme.
Competitions run from 9 am to 4 pm, featuring a new 180 x 210 foot warm-up ring with high-quality Tapeta footing for riders. The country fair with main events and forty-five shops also open at 9 am.
On Friday, September 20, the free dressage phase. On Saturday, cross country jumping. On Sunday, tailgating, the bareback high jump contest and parades with antique carriages and Mr. Stewart’s Foxhounds. The $20 fee includes admission with a program.
For adults, attractions include a wine bistro and beer garden modeled as an English Pub, The Grantham Arms, circa 1920. For kids, a moon bounce, mechanical bull, face painting, petting zoo, crafts and games. All free with gate admission.
Proceeds go to the Cheshire Land Preservation Fund, The Barn at Spring Brook Farm and the Chester County Food Bank.
