Atglen Firm Fined, CEO Fired For Warehousing Infraction

This brief article from this morning’s Bucks County’s daily newspaper, The Intelligencer about Action Manufacturing.  Action Manufacturing operates a factory and warehouse in West Fallowfiled.

Officials of the Action Manufacturing Co., which is headquartered in Bristol, pleaded guilty Wednesday to storing explosive hazardous waste illegally at the company facility in Atglen, Chester County, and agreed to pay a $1.2 million fine, according to U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger.

The company president, who wasn’t identified in a news release issued Wednesday, has agreed to resign and the company will be put on five years of probation, the release stated.

Hoovers.com lists Arthur Mattia as Action’s CEO.

A $1.2M fine, 5 years probation for the company and the company’s president forced to resign; Sounds like a big deal.
